Richard Keogh and Jeff Hendrick feature in Ireland draw, while Dawkins suffers defeat with the Reggae Boyz.

Derby County’s Richard Keogh, Jeff Hendrick and Simon Dawkins all garnered further international caps for the Republic of Ireland and Jamaica respectively over the last few days.

Defender Richard Keogh played the full 90 minutes as Ireland drew 1-1 with World Cup-bound Costa Rica in an international friendly on Friday evening.

The former Coventry City centre-back earned his fourth international cap for Ireland in the friendly fixture in Philadelphia.

Keogh's team-mate, Jeff Hendrick, featured as a 65th-minute substitute, replacing former Rams player Paul Green, to collect his sixth international cap.

Queens Park Rangers' Kevin Doyle headed Ireland in front after 18 minutes before Celso Borges equalised from the penalty spot for Costa Rica in the 64th minute.

Costa Rica, who face England in the World Cup, were reduced to 10-men shortly before half-time when Giancarlo Gonzalez was sent off after elbowing Doyle.

Robbie Keane had the opportunity to seal the victory from the penalty spot, but saw his effort saved by substitute goalkeeper Patrick Pemberton.

Hendrick and Keogh will be hoping to gain further caps on Wednesday, as Ireland are back in action against Portugal in New Jersey.

Elsewhere, Dawkins was handed his fourth start for Jamaica against France in Lille last night and played 85 minutes before being withdrawn.

However, it was an evening to forget for the Reggae Boyz, as they were thrashed 8-0, with goals from Karim Benzema (2), Blaise Matuidi (2), Antoine Griezmann (2), Yohan Cabaye and Olivier Giroud.
