Defender heads out on loan.Derby County’s Kieron Freeman has joined Sky Bet League 2 side Mansfield Town on 93-day emergency loan deal.
The 22-year-old full back returns to the One Call Stadium where he previously enjoyed a fruitful loan spell back in the 2011/12 campaign, whilst he was on the books at Nottingham Forest, and made nine appearances.
Freeman will now be in line to make his debut for the Stags in their home encounter with Accrington Stanley tomorrow afternoon.
Freeman, a Wales Under 21 international, enjoyed two loan spells away from the iPro Stadium last campaign first with Notts County, before finishing the season at Sheffield United and establishing himself in the starting line-up at Bramall Lane.
Before that, the versatile defender played seven games in a Derby shirt before heading to Meadow Lane and aiding in Shaun Derry’s successful bid to steer Notts County away from relegation.
In total he has made 27 appearances since joining the Rams from local rivals Nottingham Forest at the beginning of the 2012/13 season.Tweets by @ dcfcofficial
