Derby County’s Shaquille McDonald has joined Sky Bet League 2 side Cheltenham Town on a youth loan deal until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old forward has been a regular with Lee Glover’s Under 21 side this season and has scored five goals in all competitions for the side in their maiden campaign as a Barclays Under 21 Premier League – North side.

McDonald will now link up with Russell Milton’s Cheltenham in a bid to help them in their bid to steer away from the relegation zone.

The Robins currently reside 23rd in the fourth tier with eight games of the season remaining.

The former Peterborough United and York City forward will now be hoping to make his debut in this weekend’s home encounter with Plymouth Argyle.
