Will Hughes was named as the Derby County Supporters' Club Player of the Year for the 2014/15 season on Monday evening.

The 20-year-old midfielder claimed the award in the Pedigree Suite at the iPro Stadium, as part of the Supporters’ Club's Annual End of Season Dinner.

Head Coach Steve McClaren, his coaching staff and Derby’s playing squad were all in attendance.

The players helped hand out a series of Supporters' Club awards for the campaign before the Player of the Year Trophy, which was won by defender Jake Buxton a year ago, was handed to the Academy product.

Each branch of the Supporters' Club cast their vote on who they regarded as Derby's star man this season, and Hughes came out on top despite strong competition from a number of his team-mates.

Hughes has made 47 appearances in all competitions for Derby this season and scored on three occasions.

Following the presentation of the Player of the Year Award, the players stayed around to pose for photographs and sign autographs, as well as engaging with Rams supporters.
