Defender Farrend Rawson has returned to Derby County from his loan spell at fellow Sky Bet Championship side Rotherham United.

The Academy graduate joined the Millers on a half-season youth loan during the summer, which was extended until the end of the season in January.

However, a clause has been activated in the agreement to bring the youngster back to the iPro Stadium.

The 19-year-old made 16 appearances for the Millers, scoring twice, during his second loan spell in South Yorkshire after appearing four times during a short loan spell last season.

Head Coach Darren Wassall said: “We’re happy to have Farrend back with us following his spell at Rotherham.

“He proved during his time there that he is capable of playing at Championship level and he has certainly benefitted from his time out on loan.”
