Derby County striker Chris Martin has joined fellow Sky Bet Championship side Fulham on a season-long loan deal.

The 27-year-old striker completed the formalities of the loan agreement prior to this evening’s 11pm deadline.

Derby will receive a substantial loan fee and Fulham have the option to buy the player.

Martin joined Derby from Norwich City in 2013, initially on loan before signing a permanent deal ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.

In total he has made 160 appearances for Derby and scored on 63 occasions, of which 25 came in 2013/14 as Derby reached the Championship’s Play-Off Final.

Martin appeared in Derby’s opening six games of the current season but failed to find the back of the net during that time.

Under the terms of the agreement Martin will not be able to appear in Fulham’s games against Derby during the 2016/17 season.
