Derby County goalkeeper Kelle Roos has joined Sky Bet League 1 side Bristol Rovers on a season-long loan deal.

The 24-year-old Dutchman completed the paperwork to link up with Darrell Clarke’s side for the entire campaign this morning.

Roos enjoyed a successful loan spell at AFC Wimbledon in the second half of last season and helped Neil Ardley’s side to promotion from League 2, thanks to a Play-Off Final victory over Plymouth Argyle in May.

Rovers, after back-to-back promotions from the National League through to League 1 in the last two years, are currently 18th in the table after four matches.

Roos, who joined Derby in January 2014, has made five first-team appearances for the Rams and also had a stint on loan at Rotherham United at the start of last season, where he appeared on five occasions.
