Derby County’s Max Lowe has been called up to the England Under 20 squad for their upcoming friendly against Brazil.

The 19-year-old Academy graduate made his professional debut for Derby in their EFL Cup Round Two tie against Carlisle United earlier this week, playing the full 120 minutes and scoring in the penalty shoot-out success.

England’s Under 20s have a season of World Cup preparation ahead of them after Aidy Boothroyd’s Young Lions secured their place at next summer’s competition in South Korea by reaching the semi-finals of the Under 19 Euros in July.

The build-up begins with a warm-up game against the South Americans at St. George’s Park before they head to Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough Stadium on Sunday 4th September.

Lowe has been capped by England at Under 16, 17 and 18 level and could win his first Under 20 cap against Brazil.
