Derby County’s Under 23s are back on the road again today when they travel to the Capital to take on Chelsea at Aldershot.

Unbeaten in their last two Premier League 2 Division 1 fixtures, Darren Wassall’s side will take on the Blues at Aldershot Town’s Electrical Services Stadium looking to extend their run of two wins and two draws from their last five outings in all competitions, kick-off: 7:05pm.

The latest positive result for Darren Wassall’s men came at the Stadium of Light, where the Rams were forced to settle for a point last Wednesday.

Derby were pegged back from winning positions on two occasions in the North East as Mason Bennett and Kellan Gordon scored their first goals of the season, but were ultimately thwarted four minutes from time by the Black Cats, last season’s Division 1 runners-up, after an epic second half.

Derby will take on a Chelsea side this evening that are out of form and are without a win in their last five outings in all competitions.

Residing smack in the middle of the Division 1 table in sixth, the Blues have lost two and drawn the other of their last three league fixtures.

Looking ahead, Kyron Stabana, the full back, says tonight’s game is a ‘massive’ one for the players and has called on the squad to ensure it is not a comfortable night for Chelsea from the first whistle.

He told dcfc.co.uk: “It’s going to be a massive game for us on Monday. Personally, I haven’t come up against them in a while, but it is these sorts of games that we all worked hard to get promoted for. We wanted to play these big teams.

“Their recent form is something we need to try and turn into our favour. They haven’t had a win for a few games now, but this is still Chelsea.

“They could put out a very good team against us. Concentration is going to be key.

“We do know that, whoever plays, that they are going to be a good, technical, side. Our strength, as we showed at Sunderland, is that we get in teams’ faces, not letting them be comfortable on the ball and then build on that by showing our own quality on the ball.”

Rams supporters wishing to support Wassall’s men will be able to gain access to Aldershot’s Electrical Services Stadium, with tickets priced as follows:

Adults - £3
Senior Citizens - £1
Juniors -£1

Tickets will be available on the day of the game and can be purchased from the stadium in advance of kick-off this evening.

Rams fans not attending this evening’s fixture will be able to keep up to date with how Darren Wassall’s men get on by following the official Derby County Twitter account, @dcfcofficial, whilst a full match report, match images, reaction and match highlights will follow across dcfc.co.uk and Rams Player HD after the full time whistle.
