Derby County can confirm that James Wilson’s season-long loan deal from Premier League side Manchester United has been ended by mutual agreement.

Wilson, 21, joined Derby at the start of the campaign but suffered a significant knee injury in October.

He returned to the Red Devils to undergo surgery soon afterwards and as a result was ruled out of action for several months.

He made three starts and a further appearance off the bench at first-team level for the Rams.

Derby County would like to take this opportunity to wish James a successful return to fitness and every success in the future.
