Derby County’s Nick Blackman has joined Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv on a season-long loan deal.

The 27-year-old forward completed the formalities of his switch to the runners-up of last season’s Israeli top flight this afternoon.

Maccabi Tel Aviv are managed by former Barcelona, Manchester United and Holland player Jordi Cruyff, who is the son of the legendary Johan Cruyff.

Blackman has made 29 appearances for Derby since joining from Reading in January 2016, scoring once.

He missed large parts of last season with a knee injury but made his comeback on the final day of the campaign.
