Pride Park Stadium has been passed fit for tomorrow’s Sky Bet Championship home game with Fulham (3pm kick-off).

The relevant authorities this afternoon approved that the match could go ahead as planned following an inspection at the stadium. Work has been carried out over the last three days after the club activated its contingency plan to deal with the extreme weather conditions.

The pitch is in good condition thanks to our groundstaff and its undersoil heating while our maintenance team have been working – some around the clock - to do everything possible to ensure the stadium is fully operational. Their sterling efforts have been ably supported by club stewards who have come in to assist on a voluntary basis and by the staff of Office Care Ltd.

We are also especially grateful to Derby City Council’s Highways Department for their work in clearing the environs around Pride Park.

The freezing conditions continue to pose challenges and the work will carry on for the rest of Friday and into matchday while we liaise with all the relevant authorities. Subject to any unforeseen circumstances or any significant deterioration in conditions, the game will go ahead.

We will keep supporters informed of any developments on a timely basis via all our usual channels.
