Phillip Cocu has named new signing Matt Clarke in the starting line-up for Derby County’s Sky Bet Championship season opener against Huddersfield Town this evening (7:45pm kick-off).
After joining on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion last Friday, the defender will feature for the Rams for the first time.
He will line up alongside Richard Keogh, who was announced as the Rams' captain last week for Cocu’s first competitive game in charge of the club.
Jack Marriott has been named on the bench having missed the end of pre-season due to injury as has youngster Jason Knight who could make his senior debut after featuring for the first-team during pre-season.
