Sarah Jackson has been named as the Derby County Women Player of the Season for the 2019/20 season.

The Derby County Women Player of the Season Award, presented by club partner Unlimited Wellbeing, is the latest of the club’s annual awards - from Derby County Women, the Academy and first-team – which are being announced online over the coming days.

The Derby County Women Player of the Season accolade was selected by Manager Sam Griffiths, alongside consultation with her coaching team.

Jackson, who is 23, is the pacey centre-back that plays in a sweeper role and produced a succession of fine performances for the Ewe Rams throughout the campaign.

The 2019 signing from Leicester City quickly become a favourite of the Ewe Rams faithful for her no-nonsense and consistent displays.

Jackson, alongside her role with Derby County Women, works in the Derby County Academy as an Academy Performance Analyst.

Derby County Women’s campaign was brought to a swift conclusion in March after all female leagues and cups from National League level down were declared null and void for the 2019/20 season because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
