Derby County will return to Sky Bet Championship action at Pride Park Stadium when they take on Oxford United on Tuesday night (7:45pm kick-off).

The Rams will be looking to pick up all three points after earning a battling 1-1 draw on the road against Norwich City on Saturday. Jerry Yates’ late penalty got the Rams a point at Carrow Road and halted an unwanted run of seven successive defeats in the league.

Derby will be hoping the draw can be the catalyst for a turnaround in form, starting against Oxford on Tuesday night, who enter the game looking for a response after a 1-0 defeat at Burnley in their last outing.

Former Rams boss Gary Rowett has overseen a positive run of form for the U’s since taking over back in December and was named as the division’s Manager of The Month in January. Oxford have picked up eight points from their last five games in league action.

Team News

Derby are expected to have a wide complement of their squad available for selection against Oxford on Tuesday night after several players have returned from injury over recent weeks.

Centre-back Sondre Langas and midfielder Harrison Armstrong made their Rams debuts at Norwich on Saturday and are expected to be available for selection once again on Tuesday night as they look to make their home debuts.

Defender Nat Phillips also returned to the starting picture against the Canaries following a four-game absence owing to a calf injury.

He lined up alongside Matt Clarke who made his second outing in a Derby shirt since joining in late January, while midfielder David Ozoh also entered the starting eleven for the second time since a return from injury late last month.

Defender Curtis Nelson remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury sustained against Watford in January, while Corey Blackett-Taylor, Kane Wilson and Dajaune Brown are sidelined with hamstring issues.
