Derby County Football Club, established in 1884, is one of the founder members of the English Football League and has a rich and varied history, including two First Division titles in 1972 and 1975 and an FA Cup success in 1946. The club are currently playing in League One, the third tier of English Football, and is under the management of Head Coach, Paul Warne. The club also boasts a successful and respected Category One Academy, a status which has been held since 2014. Derby County is embarking on an exciting new era following the change in ownership to Clowes Developments (UK) Limited. Our track record of producing talent is outstanding, and we intend to protect that proud legacy, investing in key roles within the club to build on the foundations in place for success.

Derby County Football Club is looking to expand their team of Drivers to support with the transportation of DCFC Academy players, and to play an integral role in the Transport Strategy as part of the Academy operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

Collection and transportation of our Academy players, ensuring their safety and security is always paramount

Drive club vehicles in a professional, safe, and courteous manner

Carry out and record basic vehicle maintenance checks on a daily basis in accordance with policy

Personal characteristics and experience:

Hold a full driving licence

The ability to drive up to D1 class vehicles would be desirable

Ability to follow schedules and plans, and plan adequate contingencies

Experience of providing excellent customer service within a youth or young adult setting

Experience within a driving role

Ability and confidence in driving a variety of vehicles

Ability to commit to working unsociable hours including regular evening and weekend work

Essential Qualifications

Hold, or be willing to complete, FA Safeguarding qualifications

The working hours for this post will vary depending on the Transport Strategy requirements. Please note, flexibility is key to this role as it will include regular evening and weekend work. However, we are seeking to expand our operations team specifically during the weekend.

For insurance purposes, applicants must be at least 21 years old and be able to provide us with a DVLA Licence Summary if successful. As part of the Club's commitment to providing a safe environment for children and young people, applicants should be aware that an application for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Criminal Record Check (CRC) is required as part of the recruitment process.
