Goalkeeper Alfie Roberts joined Derby County’s Under-18 squad in the lead-up to the 2020/21 campaign as a first-year scholar.
Roberts joined Derby’s Academy back in 2015 after spending time in Nottingham Forest’s Academy and successfully came through the age groups prior to signing his scholarship.
The goalkeeper impressed in the Under-16s and acted as cover for the Under-18s goalkeepers in the 2019/20 season.
Roberts became a regular in his first season as a scholar, starting 17 times to help the Rams to a top-half finish in the Under-18s Premier League - North.
