Winger Carlos Richards, who was part of Chelsea’s youth set-up before leaving the Blues in the summer of 2020 to join Derby County’s Academy.
The Gibraltar youth international also spent some time with West Ham United prior to linking up with the Rams.
He signed a two-year scholarship and became latest fresh face in the squad after the Rams added 11 new first-year scholars during the summer of 2021.
Richards played 13 times for the Under-18s in Premier League – North, scoring twice, in addition to featuring five times for the Under-21s in Premier League 2 - Division 1.
The wideman’s whirlwind first season with Derby saw him make his senior bow as a late substitute in a 2-1 home victory over Fulham in April 2021.
In 2022/23, he made 13 appearances - eight for the Under-18s and five for the Under-21s in Premier League 2 before signing professional terms in the summer of 2023.
