Goalkeeper
Nationality: English
DOB: 01/10/99
Goalkeeper George Sykes-Kenworthy joined Derby County’s Under-23 squad on a short-term contract in the early stages of the 2020/21 campaign.
The shot-stopper arrived to provide a further option in the Under-23s’ goalkeeping department.
Yorkshire-born Sykes-Kenworthy came through the youth ranks at Bradford City and, upon penning professional terms, worked under Under-23s coach Gary Bowyer.
He had loan spells in non-league football at Stalybridge Celtic, Stafford Rangers and Guiseley AFC to gain first-team experience as part of his continued development.
In addition, he made two first-team appearances for Bradford in the 2019/20 campaign in the EFL Trophy against Rochdale and Manchester City Under-21s.
The goalkeeper left Bradford at the end of the season before sealing a switch to Derby to provide cover to the Under-23s’ other custodians.
