Justin Walker

Academy coach Justin Walker joined Derby County's senior coaching team as First Team Development Coach ahead of the start of the 2020/21 season.

Walker, who recorded almost 400 appearances in his professional career as a midfielder, had been part of the Academy coaching set-up for several years prior to his appointment.

He had previously held the position of Professional Development Phase Coach, overseeing the club’s Under-18 side.

He led Derby’s youngsters to the Under-18 Premier League title in the 2018/19 season, which resulted in the club appearing in the illustrious UEFA Youth League in the 2019/20 campaign.

His role provides further emphasis on the individual development of Derby’s professional players.
