Slovenian attacking midfielder Timi Max Elsnik got his first taste of senior football at Derby County over the 2016/17 season.
He made his senior bow in the epic EFL Cup clash with Carlisle United at Pride Park Stadium and sealed the occasion by scoring the winning spot kick.
Elsnik had been part of the first team picture ahead of the 2016/17 campaign, having also featured in the first team’s Algarve Cup game against Benfica in Portugal.
Since joining the Rams in the summer of 2015, Elsnik has gone from strength-to-strength.
He enjoyed a successful 2015/16 season by winning the club's Scholar of the Year award and also featured for the Under-21s as they sealed the Division 2 title and a place in the top flight of Premier League 2 for the following campaign.
Previously with NK Aluminij Kidricevo, Elsnik, who is also currently a member of the Slovenia Under-19s squad, played 16 times and scored four goals to help Darren Wassall’s men retain their Division 1 status.
