Rams to face the Brewers in pre-season friendly at the Pirelli Stadium ahead of the 2014/15 season.

Derby County will take on Sky Bet League Two side Burton Albion in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2014/15 campaign next month.

The Rams will make the short trip down the A38 to travel to the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday 29th July (7:30pm kick-off), as Steve McClaren’s side continue their pre-season preparations for the new 2014/15 campaign.

Derby faced the Brewers in last season's build-up to the new campaign, with goals from Chris Martin and Conor Sammon securing a 2-0 victory (click HERE to view extended highlights of that game on Rams Player.)

Managed by former Derby County defender Gary Rowett, the Brewers, like the Rams, were denied promotion at Wembley Stadium in the Play-Offs, after Antoni Sarcevic's second-half goal earned Fleetwood Town promotion to the third tier of English football.

Earlier last week the Rams announced their first five pre-season friendlies, which included four non-league teams as well as League One outfit Notts County.

The Rams will travel to Evo-Stik League Northern Premier First Division South side Mickleover Sports on Tuesday 1st July (7:15pm) before heading to Evo Stik Premier Division Matlock Town on Thursday 3rd July (7:45pm).

They will also face Ilkeston FC on Saturday 5th July (3pm), Nuneaton Town on Tuesday 8th July (7:45pm), Notts County on Saturday 19th July (1pm kick-off), prior to facing the Brewers on Tuesday 29th July (7:30pm kick-off).
