Reggae Boyz to face Trinidad & Tobago in Tuesday's finale as Will Hughes and Jack Butland prepare for France test
Simon Dawkins got himself on the score sheet as Jamaica sealed their place in the final of the Caribbean Cup with a 2-0 win over Haiti.
The Rams forward opened the scoring in the 13th minute in the do-or-die match at the Montego Bay Sports Complex, before Darren Mattocks completed the scoring seven minutes later.
Haiti missed a late penalty and the chance to set up a grand finale as the Reggae Boyz secured their place in the final of the eight-team competition.
Dawkins will now stay with his national side for their game against Trinidad & Tobago, which will played on Tuesday and kick-off at 8pm local time.
Five more Derby players could return to international action this evening as the third international break of the season draws to a close.
Will Hughes and Jack Butland could line-up in England Under 21s’ international friendly against France this evening (kick-off 9pm).
The pair starred in the 3-1 win over Portugal Under 21s last Thursday and will be looking to impress once more as Gareth Southgate’s side continue to prepare for next summer’s Under 21 European Championships.
Jordon Ibe and Kwame Thomas will also be looking to feature in this evening's game as England Under 20s face Portugal in Porto, whilst Max Lowe will be looking to pick up his second cap for the Under 18s side after missing Saturday’s 3-2 friendly victory over Poland.
The two sides will meet again tonight at Gdansk and the game will kick-off at 5pm.
