Craig Bryson has been named as Derby County’s PFA Player in the Community award-winner for the 2016/17 season.
The 30-year-old midfielder, who joined Derby in the summer of 2011 from Kilmarnock, is a popular figure amongst supporters.
He has made a number of community appearances organised by the Derby County Community Trust during the season and has always shown a willingness to interact and engage with supporters.
Bryson recently agreed to become an ambassador for the Community Trust’s NCS programme, encouraging young people from across Derby to take part in once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to build skills and confidence whilst delivering projects to make a difference in the local area.
The season has also seen Bryson make appearances at the club’s annual Christmas hospital visit, kids coaching sessions in the community, local schools, apprenticeship taster evenings with club partner 3aaa and supporter events such as the third kit launch.
