Derby County’s Under-23s and Under-18s will ramp up their preparations for the 2021/22 season with a handful of pre-season friendlies.
The young Rams are due to return to Moor Farm at the beginning of July to begin their pre-season training and a combined team will play their first friendly fixture ahead of the new season on 13th July at Matlock Town.
A week later, a mixture of Under-18s and Under-23s will then travel to Alfreton Town before the Under-23s face Chelsea at Moor Farm Training Ground the following day.
Pat Lyons’ side will also meet Huddersfield Town, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough, all at Moor Farm, to conclude their pre-season preparations.
Meanwhile, the Under-18s will make the short trip to face Leicester City, before home games against Burton Albion, Crewe Alexandra and Norwich City.
Both sides will be looking to build on their impressive campaigns in the 2020/21 season where they finished in the top half of their respective leagues - Premier League 2 Division 1 and Under-18s Premier League – North.
