Derby County return to Sky Bet League One on Saturday when they travel to Cambridgeshire to take on Peterborough United (3pm kick-off).

The Rams are looking for back-to-back wins for the first time this season after picking up their first victory on home soil in the 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town last weekend thanks to Martyn Waghorn's first-half strike.

In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know...

Rams Team News

Wing-back Joe Ward (heel) is facing up to eight weeks out following the injury he picked up in the recent home defeat against Oxford United and therefore he won't be able to face his former club.

Midfielder Max Bird (ankle) is also facing a similar spell out after picking up an injury in the last action of the game against Oxford.

Defender Kane Wilson (hamstring) will be out for around two months after damaging his hamstring in the reverse against Oxford.

Forward Tom Barkhuizen (calf) has returned to first-team training and could come into contention for the trip to Peterborough although he is lacking match minutes after being out of action since the start of July.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV ahead of this weekend's trip to Peterborough.

He said: "They've recruited really well again, they have a number of players I've known for a long period of time but knowing them and stopping them is two different things.

"Last year when we played there and we lost 2-0 we were excellent in the first half, we had all the ball but didn't have a shot and in the second half they counter-attacked us twice and punished us.

"We need to have a performance over the entirety of the 110 minutes to justify a win."

Defender Jake Rooney spoke to RamsTV to preview Saturday's tough test against the Posh.

He said: "It's always been a tough place to go. We had a good game there last year and we started off well but it's vital we go there and earn the right to play and try and bring home the three points.

"It's going to be tough but the lads are more than capable of it."
