Derby County are back on the road on Saturday when they travel to London to take on Charlton Athletic in Sky Bet League One (3pm kick-off).


This weekend marks the first meeting between the two sides this season after the match at Pride Park Stadium earlier in this campaign was rescheduled owing to international call-ups.

Team News

New loan signing Ebou Adams could be involved in the matchday squad after the midfielder arrived on loan from Sky Bet Championship side Cardiff City earlier this week.


Midfielder Korey Smith (knee) is back and available for selection after being out of action with a knee problem since November.

Defender Ryan Nyambe has returned from international duty with Namibia at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and is available for selection.

Left-back Callum Elder (hamstring) sat out the 2-1 home victory over Cheltenham Town last weekend but could return to the fold this weekend.

Striker Conor Washington (ankle) is upping his workload after having surgery in December but remains out of action.

Defender Craig Forsyth (calf) remains although it is hoped he will resume training at some stage this month.

Striker Martyn Waghorn (calf) remains out after suffering a setback in his rehabilitation last month.

Striker Tyreece John-Jules (hamstring) suffered a severe tear in the defeat against Reading last month that will keep him out of action for the forseeable future.


Long-term absentee Jake Rooney (knee) remains ruled out of action but is making good progress in his rehabilitation work.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV to preview Saturday's match.


He said: "The lads are right up for it and, as always, it won't be plain sailing but we've put ourselves in a good position to compete and that's all we can do."


Louie Sibley spoke to RamsTV ahead of Saturday's trip to London.


He said: "We know wherever we play, even away games, the fans are up for it. We know wherever we go it will always be difficult. We've just got to keep the performances high and as long as we keep winning and keep going in the right direction, that's the main thing."


Ticket Information

Tickets for Saturday's trip to Charlton have completely sold out!


Derby were handed an allocation of 3,154 tickets for the match and these have now completely sold out. Charlton have confirmed that no further tickets will be made available.

Those fans without a ticket are advised not to make the trip to Charlton, as they will be unable to gain access to the stadium.

Match Officials

Ed Duckworth will take charge of Saturday's game and he will be assisted by Daniel Bonneywell and Stuart Butler.


Gareth Viccars has been appointed as Fourth Official for the contest.

Duckworth has taken charge of 23 games so far this season but Saturday will mark his first of the campaign officiating the Rams.

He's handed out 105 yellow cards, two straight red cards and awarded five penalties so far.
