To mark the 50th anniversary of Derby County’s iconic 1974/75 First Division triumph earlier this year, and the 80th anniversary of local bike builders Mercian Cycles, a one-of-a-kind bicycle is being raffled - and it could be yours!

Founded in 1946, Mercian Cycles is proudly celebrating 80 years of crafting hand-built bespoke bikes.
In honour of this milestone, Mercian have generously donated a one-off, special edition Superlight road bike to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Rams’ legendary 1975 title win.
Once Mercian’s flagship race model in the 1970s, the Superlight was renowned for being the lightest frame in the range.
This exclusive edition pays homage to Derby County’s legacy, featuring the club’s iconic colours and badges, with the names of the title-winning manager and squad wrapped around the seat tube in Mercian’s signature ‘barber pole’ design.

Fonts from the 1970s complete the bike’s classic look. This bike is a true one-of-a kind and will look great either on the road or adorning your wall.
This one-of-a-kind bicycle will be raffled with the goal of raising £4,000, with all funds raised supporting Derby County Community Trust, helping to make a lasting impact within the community.
The winner will be announced on Friday 1st August, and the bike will be officially presented at Derby’s first home game of the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship season against Coventry City on Saturday 16th August (12:30pm kick-off).
Entries are £20 with 3 entries costing £55 and 5 entries costing £85.
