Derby County have completed the signing of Ben Brereton Diaz on a season-long loan from Southampton.
The 26-year-old will spend the duration of the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship campaign at Pride Park Stadium.
Brereton Diaz is Derby’s 13th signing of the summer and fifth loan, following the arrivals of Owen Beck, David Ozoh, Bobby Clark and Dion Sanderson.
The move for the Chile international – who can play across the forward line – adds further Championship experience and a proven goalscoring option to John Eustace’s squad.
He has scored seven goals in 35 games for his nation, who he first represented in 2021 and will link up with during the upcoming international break.
In total, Brereton Diaz has scored over 70 goals across more than 300 senior appearances, including a season-best of 22 during the 2021/22 campaign, when he was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
He has represented Nottingham Forest, Blackburn Rovers, Spanish side Villarreal, Sheffield United and Southampton during his playing career to date and played at the highest level in both England and Spain.
Welcome to Derby, Ben!
