Derby County Under-21s will face Brentford Under-21s in the Round of 16 of the Premier League 2 Professional Development League (PDL) Play-Off competition.

The Young Rams will travel to Wheatsheaf Park for knock-out action against Brentford on Monday 27th April (7pm kick-off).
The play-off format was first introduced this season. The eight Premier League 2 teams finishing in positions 17th to 24th will participate in a cross-category play-off competition alongside the top eight teams from the PDL (Category 2).
This will consist of a round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
Danny Maye’s Derby side finished the Premier League 2 season in strong form, with five consecutive home wins at the Proctor Cars Stadium seeing them finish in the final play-off spot.
Opponents Brentford finished top of the PDL with 18 wins and four draws from their 28 league matches against fellow Category 2 Academy opposition.
