Derby County Football Club are seeking to recruit Accommodation Providers in the local area for young professional football players who need to live away from home to undertake their training at our Academy. Lodgings should provide good quality accommodation in an area which provides a safe setting for the young players to live during their weekly training schedule.
The players have a demanding physical schedule and we are looking for a supportive, caring home in which they can relax and feel safe in a family environment. Access to public transport and local amenities is desirable, with Accommodation Providers ideally situated close to our training centre in Oakwood (properties within a reasonable travelling distance will also be considered).
Access to the residential accommodation is required each week during the football season, and the Accommodation Provider will need to be able to provide high quality nutritional breakfasts and evening meals with occasional lunches. There will be some breaks during the season when most of the players travel home.
Our Education, Safeguarding and Medical teams are readily available to support Accommodation Providers in their role, which includes training, advice and guidance where appropriate.
Information on monthly remuneration and the application process is available from the Academy Safeguarding Officer, Tony Brittan or [email protected]
Derby County Football Club is committed to equal opportunities and safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all accommodation providers to share this commitment. This role involves work with young people/adults and is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Criminal Records Check (CRC). Clearance through The FA DBS CRC system is required and will be required immediately and every three years thereafter for any resident in the accommodation aged 16 years and above. As such this post is exempt for the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and the applicant must disclose all previous convictions including spent convictions. Two written references will also be required. Applicants will in addition need to demonstrate that the accommodation meets certain safety standards and all applicants will be required to undergo a full assessment with our Club staff before consideration can be made as to suitability.
