Ben Radcliffe

Ben Radcliffe joined Derby County’s Under-21s squad from Burton Albion in the summer of 2023.

Radcliffe, previously with the Rams as a schoolboy, made the move into senior football with the Brewers after linking up with their youth set-up and spent time on loan at non-league side Mickleover FC to gain experience in the 2021/22 season.

He continued his education at Banbury United of National League North in 2022/23 and made his senior bow in professional football for Burton off the bench in League One at the end of the campaign.

Radcliffe, who can play in defence or midfield, featured for Derby’s first team on a number of occasions ahead of the 2023/24 season and scored in a 2-0 friendly win at Matlock Town.

He suffered a long-term hamstring injury early in 2023/24 which limited him to just seven appearances in Premier League 2.

He also appeared once for Paul Warne's first team in the EFL Trophy during the course of the campaign.
