Biography

Christoph Bühler joined Derby County as First Team Tactical Coach in February 2026.

The German coach joined John Eustace's ranks, having previously worked under David Wagner at a variety of different clubs.

Bühler began coaching at TSG Weinheim with Weinheim II and the Under-19 sides.

He moved on to 1899 Hoffenheim in 2007, where he linked up with Wagner, coaching Academy sides at the South-West German club.

Bühler then followed Wagner once more as they headed to Borussia Dortmund II before making the switch to English football with then-Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town in November 2015.

Bühler and Wagner saw the Terriers promoted to the Premier League via the play-offs in their second season in West Yorkshire and remained in the top-flight for two seasons.

After departing Huddersfield in 2019, the duo moved to German giants Schalke 04 for a year and then to Swiss side Young Boys until March 2022.

Bühler’s last job, before heading to Moor Farm with Derby, saw a return to England when Wagner took on the Head Coach role with Norwich City in 2022/23, where their season ended in the play-off semi-final in the second tier.
