Experienced central defender Danny Batth joined Derby County as the club's second signing of the 2025 summer window in July 2025.
The defender bolstered the Rams’ defensive options and also brought extra leadership credentials into the squad.
Batth joined Derby with 547 professional appearances and 29 goals to his name across the Championship and League One during a successful career to date.
Batth rose through the ranks of boyhood club Wolverhampton Wanderers as he featured 212 times for the West Midlands outfit, with loan stints at Colchester United and Sheffield Wednesday building his experience.
Eventually, Batth became captain of Wolves, who rose from League One to earning promotion to the Premier League in 2018. He is no stranger to a goal either, netting 16 times from defence across his tenure with the Old Gold.
A loan move to Middlesbrough in the 2018/19 campaign saw Batth continue his strong form in the second tier, and a permanent move to Stoke City was next, where he racked up six goals and over 100 appearances in the Potteries.
Time with Sunderland, where he won another promotion from League One, and Norwich City followed before he landed at Blackburn Rovers in 2024/25, where he played under John Eustace last season before the Head Coach joined up with the Rams on a one-year contract ahead of the 2025/26 season.
