Attacking midfielder Jerome Richards joined Derby County’s Academy in the lead-up to the start of the 2024/25 season.

Richards impressed during a trial spell in towards the end of the 2023/24 season and featured for the Under-18s on a number of occasions.

He gained good minutes for the Under-18s in the 2024/25 campaign and notched four goals from 14 league appearances, while he stepped up to the Under-21s on a couple of occasions and eventually signed his first professional deal in the summer of 2025 to join the Under-21s on a permanent basis.

He had previously been with Enfield Town at youth level prior to joining Derby.
