Winger Johnson Osong joined the Derby County Under-18s squad as a first-year scholar in the summer of 2023 before stepping up to the Under-21s two years later after penning professional terms.

He has been part of the Academy set-up since joining as an Under-11s player and, since then, he has progressed through the age groups.

He made eight appearances for the Under-18s whilst still playing at Under-16 level in the 2022/23 campaign to maintain his development.

Osong made 14 appearances for the Under-18s in 2023/24; two of which came for the Under-21s.

The 2024/25 saw Osong impress for both the Under-18s and Under-21s, netting across various competitions as well as picking up match minutes, and he was an unused substitute for the first team in the FA Cup Third Round against Leyton Orient in January 2025.
