Derby County’s Under-23s face a big Premier League 2 - Division 1 fixture on Monday night when they hit the road to take on Leeds United.

The Under-23s will face Leeds at York City's York Community Stadium Leisure Complex (7pm kick-off) and dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you will need to know ahead of the game.

Team News...

Pat Lyons will be hoping to have a strong squad to call upon as they look to edge further clear of the relegation zone.

Kornell McDonald, Dylan Williams and Louie Watson stepped into the Under-23s for their 2-1 Premier League Cup win at Charlton Athletic on Friday night and could feature again.

Midfielder Jordan Brown made his first start in a number of months after recovering from a knee injury against Charlton, while defender Harrison Solomon is also back fit again after a spell out with a knee issue.

The Season So Far...

Derby's Under-23s have played 14 games so far this term in Premier League 2 - Division 1 and have registered four wins, one draw and nine defeats.

Pat Lyons' side ended 2021 with a six match unbeaten run, which included three wins and a draw in the league to lift them out of the relegation zone and into 12th place.

However, they returned to league action in 2022 with a 1-0 loss against Liverpool last Monday despite a spirited display.

In the Premier League Cup, the Rams are top of Group C after five matches with 13 points to their name and they have already reached the knockout stages of the competition and won the group.

Leeds, meanwhile, are one place below the Rams in the table, sitting 13th, in the final relegation spot going into Monday's fixture. The two sides are locked on 13 points apiece, but Derby have a better goal difference.

Leeds were 3-2 winners when the sides met at Loughborough University Stadium back in August in a thrilling encounter.
