Derby County return to Sky Bet League One action on Monday evening when they take on Burton Albion at Pride Park Stadium (8pm kick-off).

The Rams are looking to continue their impressive recent form in the league after picking up nine wins from their last 11 outings in League One.

In the lead-up to the match getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know...

Team News

Defender Craig Forsyth (calf) is expected to be unavailable for Monday evening's match with a calf problem he picked up in last weekend's 3-1 victory at Fleetwood Town.

Striker Martyn Waghorn (calf) has suffered a slight setback in his rehabilitation programme which will keep him out for a while longer, having been out of action since early December.

Defender Ryan Nyambe is away on international duty and will be unavailable for the next few weeks due to taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament with Namibia.

Striker Conor Washington (ankle) is out of his protective boot after undergoing surgery towards the end of 2023 but remains a while away from a return to action.

Korey Smith (knee) returned to full training this week and the midfielder is set to come into contention for Monday evening's game after being out of action since the end of November.

Long-term absentee Jake Rooney (knee) remains ruled out of action but is making good progress in his rehabilitation work.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV to preview the return to Sky Bet League One action on Monday night.

He said: "Whoever we play at home, we just have to be right on song. The opposition, whether local or not, I don't think it makes any difference. Every team comes here and raises their game. Pride Park gets the best out of other teams and we have to get the best out of ourselves to win."

Winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing also spoke to RamsTV about signing a contract extension until 2026 at Pride Park and looked ahead to Monday night's fixture.

He said: "We need to do the right things, keep putting in the work on the training field and in the gym and take on board what the coaches want. That's why Tuesday was disappointing because we demand a lot from each other and I don't think there was enough demand in the game. We want to get back to that and look to put things right on Monday."
