Derby County’s Under-18s were beaten for the first time in their 2023/24 Premier League - North campaign with a 2-0 loss at Liverpool.

After picking up a 1-1 draw on the road at Sunderland in their season-opener, the Rams followed that result up with a 5-3 victory over Newcastle United at Moor Farm Training Ground in their first home fixture of the season.

Jayden Danns put Liverpool ahead after just six minutes to provide a dream start for the hosts.

Karim Ahmed added a second for the Reds just before half-time to leave the Rams with a mountain to climb.

No further goals followed in the second half and, despite their best efforts, Derby couldn’t find a way back into the game.
