Derby County’s Under-18s tasted defeat for the first time in 2024 as they went down 5-1 at Manchester City in Under-18 Premier League - North.

Ashton Muir put City ahead just before the half-hour mark, but Niall McAndrew quickly equalised for Danny Maye’s side.

Matthew Warhurst restored the home side’s lead moments later which meant City went in 2-1 up at the break.

Muir added his second just after the break to put the hosts in the driving seat before Alex Alcala and Luca Fletcher found the net in the final ten minutes to secure a convincing victory.
