Bennett Called Up For International Duty

Academy striker receives England Under-17s call-up.

Derby County striker Mason Bennett has been called-up to the England Under-17s squad.
Bennett has been added to John Peacock’s squad ahead of next month's Algarve Tournament in Portugal, that will face the hosts, as well as Germany and Holland.
Peacock has selected a 20-man group for the annual competition that acts as a warm-up for the Euro Elite Qualifying Round, which takes place in March.
England’s fixtures take place between Friday 7th February and Tuesday 12th February, which means Bennett will be unavailable for the Rams’ Championship encounter at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Three Lions won last year’s Algarve Tournament, courtesy of a 2-1 victory over France in their final game, after drawing with Holland and beating Portugal in the opening fixture.
Striker Bennett became Derby's youngest-ever player aged 15 years and 99 days old in October 2011, and also become the Rams’ youngest-ever goalscorer when he struck the fifth and final goal in the side’s 5-0 FA Cup Third Round victory over Tranmere Rovers earlier this month.
