The starting line-up for Derby County’s first friendly of their 2026/27 pre-season schedule has been confirmed.
John Eustace’s side will face local non-league side Alfreton Town at their home, the Solana Stadium (7pm kick-off).
The Head Coach has named his XI to gain match minutes in the first of five pre-season friendly matches for the Rams.

Lewis Travis will captain Derby, while Carlton Morris is set to lead the line in Alfreton.
A host of Academy prospects also join the matchday squad, including goalkeeper Sam Kane; defenders Tristan Gill, Luca Crolla, Adisa Osayande and Rio Canoville; midfielders Charlie Smith and Remi Harvey; and attacker Justin Oguntolu.
Jacob Widell Zetterström and Sondre Langås are not with the squad for the first game of pre-season as they continue their extended breaks following FIFA World Cup campaigns with Sweden and Norway, respectively. They are set to join up with pre-season training in due course.
Ryan Hedges is currently training with the Rams and will feature as a trialist in tonight’s fixture against Alfreton.
