Striker heads back to Notts County on loan.

Derby County striker Callum Ball has re-joined Sky Bet League One side Notts County on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old frontman, who is a product of the Rams’ Academy set-up, will link up with Shaun Derry’s side once again, after spending time with the Magpies earlier in the campaign.

Ball initially joined Notts on an emergency loan deal in November, making four appearances, before suffering concussion in their draw with Bristol City, which ruled him out of their fixtures over the festive period.

The striker also spent time at League Two side Torquay on a two-month loan deal earlier this season.

He made 11 appearances in total for Alan Knill’s side, with his two goals for the Gulls coming in their 4-2 win at home to Cheltenham Town in September.

The forward also enjoyed a season-long loan at Coventry City in League One last year, and the Leicester-born striker scored three times for the Sky Blues, although injury restricted him to 21 appearances.

Ball was a regular on the scoresheet for Derby's youth and reserve sides before signing professional terms in the summer of 2011 and he has racked up 31 appearances in total at first-team level for the club.

He scored three goals in 25 appearances for the Rams in the 2011/12 campaign, finding the net in home wins over Bristol City, West Ham United and Coventry City to register the first goals of his professional career.
