Striker makes loan switch to League 2 promotion-chasers.
Derby County striker Mason Bennett has joined League 2 leaders Chesterfield on a month-long loan deal.
The 17-year-old Academy graduate has teamed up with the Spireites on a temporary basis in order to gain first-team match experience.
Paul Cook’s side are currently a point clear at the top of the table with ten games left to play this season and Bennett could make his debut in their home game with Oxford United on Saturday.
Bennett has made 14 appearances for Derby’s first-team this season and he scored his first-ever league goal for the Club in September 2013 in the Rams’ 5-1 win at Millwall.
He became Derby’s youngest-ever player in October 2011 aged just 15 years and 99 days old and has registered 31 professional appearances and scored twice.
