Frontman links up with League 1 side on one-month youth loan.

Derby County forward Kwame Thomas has linked up with Sky Bet League 1 Notts County on a one-month youth loan.

The Academy graduate, 19, has become the second player inside four days to move to Meadow Lane after wideman Alefe Santos made the move across Brian Clough Way late last week in a similar arrangement.

The England Under 20 international striker has been a regular face in Derby’s Under 21 side in the Barclays Under 21 Premier League Division 2, leading the line in the central striker role.

Thomas, in his first year as a professional, made his first team debut for Derby at the end of November, coming off the bench in the Rams’ 2-0 Sky Bet Championship defeat at Leeds United. He had previously been an unused substitute on a handful of occasions.

He will be in line to make his debut for Shaun Derry’s side in their home game against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

The Magpies currently sit 12th in the table and are only two points off the play-off places.
