Derby County have this evening added to their attacking options with the arrival of the highly-regarded Tom Ince from Hull City.

The 23-year-old former England Under 21 international has joined the Rams on loan for the remainder of the season from the Barclays Premier League outfit.

The 2013 Football League Young Player of the Year will bolster the options available to Head Coach Steve McClaren during the final months of the season, following Jordon Ibe’s return to Liverpool last month after a successful loan period at the iPro Stadium.

Head Coach Steve McClaren said: “Tom Ince is an exciting talent and we’re pleased that he will be spending the rest of the season with us.

“We’ve obviously found ourselves a bit short out wide lately with Jordon Ibe returning to Liverpool and Johnny Russell picking up a hamstring injury, so to bring someone of Tom’s calibre in is a real coup for us.”

He added: “He knows what the Championship is all about and has made a real impact in the division before, so we hope that he can have an influence on our side for the rest of the season.”

Having made his professional debut for Liverpool in 2010, Ince moved to Blackpool in the summer of 2011 in an undisclosed deal.

In total he started 86 league games Seasiders and scored 31 goals, establishing himself as one of the brightest and most exciting talents in the English game.

His impressive form continued at the start of last season and in January 2014, following interest from a number of clubs, he moved to Premier League Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the campaign.

He made eight appearances and scored once, against West Bromwich Albion, as Palace retained their Premier League status under Tony Pulis.

Upon the expiry of his contract at Blackpool last summer, Ince was linked with a host of clubs before eventually signing for Hull City in July 2014.

He has made nine appearances for the Tigers so far this season, scoring once, and had a brief spell at Nottingham Forest, where he made six appearances before returning to the KC Stadium and straight back into the Hull City first-team squad.

In total he has made 117 professional starts – as well as 28 substitute appearances -and scored 37 goals.

Ince has also been capped by England at Under 17, Under 19 and Under 21 level, securing 26 caps in total across all levels.
