Derby County have revealed another lasting tribute to the late Dave Mackay.

Derby County have revealed another lasting tribute to the late Dave Mackay.

Prior to this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship encounter with Fulham at the iPro Stadium (3pm), the Rams will officially unveil the Dave Mackay Clock to supporters.

The clock, which proudly displays a picture of the Derby legend in the centre, has been installed at the end of the north side of the Toyota West Stand, fittingly just outside the recently-refurbished Dave Mackay Suite.

It has been produced by Paul Mordecai and his two sons Oliver and Alastaire - of As Time Goes By Limited - who are Rams season ticket holders and live in Southampton.

Derby County’s President & Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We are delighted to reveal the Dave Mackay Clock at the iPro Stadium and I am sure our fans are equally as pleased with this news.

“I would like to extend our thanks to Paul, Oliver and Alastaire Mordecai for their hard work and skill in ensuring such a lasting legacy for the club and for Dave Mackay.”

Oliver Mordecai said: “We as a family are very passionate about Derby County; we wanted to give something to this wonderful football club and the fantastic support.”

Mackay, who won the Second Division title as a player and also guided Derby to the First Division championship as the club’s manager, passed away in March of this year at the age of 80.

Following his passing, Derby commissioned Stoke-based artist Andrew Edwards to produce a one and a quarter life size statue of Mackay, which was revealed in September and has taken pride of place outside the players’ entrance at the iPro Stadium.
