Richard Keogh has been named as Derby County’s Player of the Season for the 2015/16 campaign by supporters.
Derby fans voted in their thousands in an online poll during the last fortnight and, despite strong competition from his team-mates, the Rams’ skipper came out on top.
The defender, who has been an ever-present in the Sky Bet Championship for Derby this season, will be presented with the illustrious Jack Stamps trophy prior to this afternoon’s home game against Ipswich Town.
Keogh has been a model of consistency in his fourth season at the club and produced a succession of fine displays in central defence for the Rams.
He has appeared 46 times this season in all competitions and scored once, in the 3-0 home win over Rotherham United back in October.
In addition to his fine club form, Keogh has established himself as an integral part of the Republic of Ireland international squad.
He starred as they secured qualification to the 2016 European Championships, during which time they defeated World Champions Germany and kept a clean sheet in the process.
Since joining the club in the summer of 2012, Keogh has made 195 appearances in a Derby shirt and previously won the Jack Stamps Trophy in the 2012/13 campaign.
Today’s announcement completes a clean sweep of awards for the 29-year-old, who also became a dad for the first time last month.
He was named as the Club’s Player of the Season & the Players’ Player of the Season at the annual End of Season Dinner last week – as well as claimed the Supporters’ Club Player of the Year award on Wednesday.
In the final voting, George Thorne finished second and Johnny Russell claimed third spot.
Right-back Cyrus Christie has been named as the Sammy Crooks Young Player of the Year Award winner.
The presentation of the Jack Stamps and Sammy Crooks trophies will be made by club ambassadors Roy McFarland and Roger Davies.
