As expected, Gary Rowett has made several changes to his Derby County line-up for tonight’s re-arranged Carabao Cup First Round match against Grimsby Town, kick-off: 7:45pm.

Matej Vydra is the only player who began the 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend to keep his starting place as the Czech Republic international forward continues to build up his match fitness.

Notably, Tom Lawrence comes in to make his first start since joining from Leicester City a week ago.

In a new-look back five, Jonathan Mitchell, Chris Baird, Alex Pearce, Jason Shackell, for his first competitive appearance since February, and Craig Forsyth all come into the team.

Craig Bryson and Jacob Butterfield start in the middle of the park, whilst Mason Bennett and Lawrence join Vydra in supporting Chris Martin in attack.

Richard Keogh, Johnny Russell, Bradley Johnson, Andreas Weimann, Curtis Davies and Tom Huddlestone are all rested entirely.

Rowett, the Derby manager, will still have the likes of Scott Carson, Ikechi Anya, Andre Wisdom, David Nugent, Marcus Olsson and Timi Max Elsnik to call upon if needed.

Kellan Gordon, who was named in the original squad that travelled to Grimsby two weeks ago, is named amongst the substitutes once again.

Grimsby Town: McKeown, Davies, Dixon, Clarke (C), Collins, Berrett, Rose, Hooper, Kelly, Bolarinwa, Dembele

Substitutes: Killip, Osborne, Mills, Clifton, Cardwell, Jaiyesimi, Summerfield

Derby County: Mitchell, Baird, Pearce, Shackell, Forsyth; Bryson. Butterfield; Bennett, Vydra, Lawrence; Martin
