Two more members of Derby County’s Under-23 squad will gain first-team experience during the second half of this season, after Calum Macdonald and Kyron Stabana departed on youth loan deals.

Macdonald has rejoined Barrow until 28th April, whilst Stabana has linked up with Tamworth on a deal that will run until 10th March.

Both players have played a key role for Darren Wassall’s side in Premier League 2 so far this season, and they will now further their development in the National League and National League North respectively.

Macdonald, the 20-year-old Scotland Under-21 international defender, made seven league appearances for the Bluebirds earlier this season and scored in their 3-3 draw against Wrexham on New Year’s Day.

Stabana has been deployed in a midfield role by Wassall in recent weeks after spending most of the first half of this term at right-back, and he will now embark on his second loan spell of the season after a short period with Boston United earlier in the campaign.
